What if you could create beautiful presentations, websites, and social media posts within minutes—without ever touching a traditional design template again? That’s exactly what Gamma makes possible.
Hi, I’m Kevin. In this guide, created in partnership with Gamma, I’ll walk you through how to design everything from slide decks to full webpages and social content quickly and easily. The goal is simple: spend less time formatting and more time focusing on what you do best.
Let’s dive in.
Getting Started with Gamma
First, head over to the link shown on the screen. Once you land on the homepage, you can set up a free account if you don’t already have one. It only takes a moment—just click to sign up and you’ll be taken directly to the Create screen.

After signing in, Gamma welcomes you with three different ways to get started:
1. Paste in your own text
Perfect if you already have notes, an outline, or draft content that you want to turn into a polished design.
2. Import a file or URL
If you’re already working on something, simply import it. Gamma can enhance existing documents, presentations, or even entire web pages.
3. Generate from a prompt
This is Gamma’s most popular option. You just type a simple one-line request—like “Create a sales presentation for a new cookie delivery service”—and Gamma builds it in seconds.
Creating a Presentation from Scratch
Let’s walk through a real example: a presentation for the Kevin Cookie Company subscription box.
Start by selecting Presentation as your output type. Gamma calls slides “cards,” so I’ll keep the default at eight cards for a clean, concise deck.
Next comes the fun part: describing what we want. I’ll type:
Create a pitch deck for the Kevin Cookie Company’s new monthly cookie subscription box, featuring product benefits, pricing, and how to sign up.
Click Generate Outline and Gamma instantly produces a complete 8-card structure. It includes an overview, details about the experience, customer benefits, subscription options, business benefits, and more. Each card acts like a slide, and the deck is practically ready to go.
Of course, edits are easy. Want to rename a section? Just click and change it. Want to rearrange slides? Press, hold, and drag them where you want.
Customizing Your Design
Gamma gives you full creative control:
Themes
Choose from a wide variety of themes, and switch anytime. I stuck with the default “Oasis,” but there’s an entire library you can explore.
Text Density
Choose how much text appears on each slide—from brief to detailed. For presentations, brief usually works best.
Images
Gamma can automatically insert:
- AI-generated images
- Stock photos
- Web images
- Illustrations
- Animated GIFs
- Your own uploads
For this example, AI images are perfect since the product is brand-new. You can even tell Gamma to follow specific colors, moods, or styles. I set ours to use the Kevin Cookie Company’s signature blue and gold.
Gamma also lets you choose the image-generation model. The default, Ideogram 3 Turbo, creates realistic and creative visuals—ideal for this presentation.
Once you’re satisfied, press Generate and watch the full presentation come to life.
Editing Slides, Images & Layouts
The generated presentation is impressive. Each card includes a headline, polished formatting, and visuals that match the brand colors. You get charts, diagrams, timelines—Gamma intelligently designs everything based on your content.
Editing is incredibly intuitive:
- Click any text to update it.
- Double-click an image to modify it with AI.
- Ask Gamma to add brand text, change backgrounds, or even insert props like a glass of milk.
- Regenerate alternate versions if you want more options.
Don’t like the theme after all? Change it instantly. I swapped to “Cornfield” for a brighter, more upbeat look.
You can also add new slides with AI. For example, I added a “Meet the Team” card, and Gamma produced a clean, professional layout automatically. You can tweak text, images, or even switch layouts entirely.
Blocks like text, tables, images, videos, charts, and buttons can be added manually too. I even added a button to let viewers learn more about our program director.
Presenting & Sharing Your Work
Once your deck is polished, go back to the first slide and click Present. You can navigate with your arrow keys, and Gamma includes subtle animations that make everything feel alive.
To share your work:
- Invite collaborators
- Send a shareable link
- Export as PDF, PowerPoint, or Google Slides
- Embed the presentation on a website
Gamma also offers analytics, so you can see which slides people engage with the most.
Managing Your Gamma Projects
Returning to the main workspace, you’ll find all your presentations—called “Gammas”—organized neatly. Think of it like your own project library. You can sort, filter, or start fresh anytime.
Final Thoughts
And that’s it! The deck looks fantastic, though I’ll still need to polish a few details. Honestly, Gamma makes the entire process so much easier by letting me focus on content instead of design. My manager is going to be thrilled.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a cookie subscription business to launch.
